What Refrigerant Replaces R22?
R22 is a common refrigerant gas which has been widely used in air conditioner and freezer, it is a Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), which has been identified under Montreal Protocol on Substances as being a gas which depletes the Ozone layer. For this reason, the import, export and manufacture of R22 and other HCFC’s has been controlled globally, nowadays, there are following gas which are extensively used to replace R22;
R410a, R410a is a clorless gas under ordinary temperature, and a colorlss & Transparent Liquid under the pressure of itslf, mixed by HFC-32 and HFC-125. And it is the substitute for R22, with very low ODP AND GWP mainly used in the air conditioners and other refrigeratig systems, only but it’s not compatible with R22 systems.
R134a UL certification for R134A, the product is used as a refrigerant in automobile air-conditioning, household and commercial refrigeration applications. It also can be used as aerosol, a flame retardant and blowing agent in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, cosmetics and cleaning sectors. And ODP is 0, GWP(100yr) is only 1700.
